A fish ladder and fish screen were installed at Durham Mutual Diversion to improve fish passage onButte Creek near Chico in 1998. Dedicated water for instream use was also acquired at the DurhamMutual Diversion to benefit spring-run Chinook and steelhead migration and rearing from the diversion to the confluence with the Sacramento River. Many partners were involved, including the DurhamMutual Water Company, The Nature Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited, Resources Renewal Institute, state and federal agencies. © USFWS
