Carmel River Restoration III

Restoration Stories

Completed with growth. The project included the construction of a crib wall (approximately 160 feet long) with five root wad habitat features on the left bank (looking downstream) to increase the habitat value for steelhead. The District planted many red willows, black cottonwoods, and dogwoods through the crib wall and on the slope above. The District continues to monitor this project as the vegetation matures.
