Dry Creek Habitat Enhancement Phase II

Restoration Stories

Dry Creek Habitat Enhancement Phase II, Part 1 completed in October 2018 consisted of construction of habitat modifications within the Dry Creek Valley. The work included excavating backwater alcoves and side channels into the floodplain areas of Dry Creek and installation of stabilization structures composed of logs and boulders. The banks were stabilized, riparian vegetation and trees were replanted and non-native vegetation was removed. In-channel features include boulder fields and riffles which create a thriving environment for the fish of the Russian River. Learn More © Sonoma Water
