Garcia River Restoration IV

Restoration Stories

Blencowe Watershed Management, working in partnership with the Conservation Fund and the Nature Conservancy, strategically places logs in streams, letting winter rains and high flows create log jams—and thus salmon habitat—naturally. This approach costs about a third of the cost of traditional, anchored wood methods. Over 9 miles of stream habitat has been restored in Inman Creek, Signal Creek, and North Fork Garcia River. © The Conservation Fund
