The first Coho HELP Act large wood project was implemented in June 2014 by Trout Unlimited, Blencowe Watershed Management, the Mendocino Redwood Company (MRC), The Nature Conservancy, the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District, and NOAA’s Restoration Center in the South Fork Garcia. Adding logs back into streams creates habitat complexity and enhances valuable habitat for both coho salmon and steelhead. The project treated 1.5 miles of high priority spawning habitat using the accelerated recruitment method. Read More © Blencowe Watershed Management
