Humboldt Bay Tributaries Restoration III

Restoration Stories

Pacific Watershed Associates partnered with the Bureau of Land Management, Pacific Coast Fish, Wildlife and Wetlands Restoration Association, and McCullough Construction to decommission abandoned logging roads in the Headwaters Forest Reserve. In this video, a failing logging road and landing constructed at the confluence of two small streams are decommissioned using heavy equipment. Implementation of this, as well as other watershed restoration efforts in the Headwaters Forest Reserve, are preventing future sediment delivery to the Little South Fork Elk River. © Pacific Watershed Associates
