Mokelumne River Murphy Creek Restoration SJCRCD

The Murphy Creek Fish Passage Improvement Project included removal of a livestock watering impoundment, fish passage improvements at a bridge that took a county road over the creek, install bioengineered bank stabilization to reduce erosion and sedimentation into the creek, with non-native invasive species removal and bank revegetation. Project led by the San Joaquin County Resource Conservation District, with partners East Bay Municipal Utility District, the CA Department of Water Resources, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, University of California, Davis, Natural Resources Conservation Service, CALFED Watershed Program and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and local landowners. © San Joaquin County RCD
