Foothill Conservancy began an anadromous fish restoration project for the Upper Mokelumne River in December of 2013. It will be a connectivity project working on bringing Anadromous fish back to the upper watershed after close to a century of exclusion due to rim dams. The Upper Mokelumne River Anadromous Fish Restoration Work Group project will reestablish a successfully reproducing population of fall-run Chinook salmon and or central valley steelhead.
