Bullock Bend Mitigation Bank project near Knight’s Landing and the Sacramento Valley partnerships that helped make it possible. Surrounded on three sides by the Sacramento River, restoration of the site has re-established connectivity between the river and the historic floodplain through the breach of a farm berm on the south side of the property. This has allowed the river water to naturally flood the property, creating off-channel salmonid rearing habitat. Habitat types developed at the bank include restored floodplain riparian, enhanced riparian floodplain forest and enhanced shaded riverine aquatic habitat. Learn more here and here. © GCID
