Before: This section of San Vicente Creek was severely lacking in wood, pools and spawning gravels. This project enhances coho salmon and steelhead rearing habitat, increase channel complexity and reactivates nearby floodplains by installing 8 large woody debris structures, which in turn creates 9 instream pools. © RCD of Santa Cruz County
