Replenishing a River: Stanislaus River Honolulu Bar Restoration This video chronicles the transformation of a two-and-a-half acre region of the river called Honolulu Bar, and discusses Oakdale Irrigation District’s commitment to stewardship and giving back to the Stanislaus River. Two and a half acres of shallow water floodplain habitat were restored, that provide habitat for young fish to rear and grow. Non-native invasive vegetation was removed along the river, and native riparian species planted. Project partners include Oakdale Irrigation District, US. Fish & Wildlife, CBEC, River Partners, and FISHBIO. Funded by Oakdale Irrigation District & US Fish & Wildlife Service. Learn More © FISHBIO
