Trinity River Restoration II

Restoration Stories

A project to restore the Trinity River, a tributary of the Klamath River in northern California, is focused on unlocking the waterway’s potential to maintain its own habitat. The hope is to recreate a hospitable environment for salmon to return and spawn at the historic scales seen prior to mining and dam constructions that changed the river’s flow. Tribes from the area are informing and leading the project because they have a unique perspective on how the river has functioned for time immemorial. Learn More © PBS KVIE
